Being brought up in Coventry surrounded by family members who worked in the car industry, well it was hardly surprising the way I turned out. I always promised myself that my first car would be built in Coventry, would have black numberplates and that I would keep it forever. Well my first car was a 1966 Triumph Vitesse 6 and I still have it. Mission accomplished...

BELOW: My first wheels

BELOW: The interest started early - I blame my parents. Don't take small children to motor museums....

BELOW: My Dad made me this garage for me to park my toy cars in. I loved it, thanks Dad.

BELOW: My first Fleet. I would spend hours playing with my cars

BELOW: With my Gran, Auntie Isa and our sandglow Marina. I can remember this one and the burning sensation of the hot vinyl on my legs. Those were the days.
